Iphone 6 plus can't connect via Bluetooth

Hello,

I have a 6+ and am having issues with bluetooth. When I try to connect it to my Jeep Grand Cherokee it will do so but for only a second or so and then drop. I juat tried to pair the same phone to my mac book pro and the same thing happens. I see all the instructions ane codes on both devices and when I try to pair the phone and my computer it wont do so. I have updated my phone and computer to the latest software versions and confirmed bluetooth Is on etc etc. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks, Joe

On your iPhone 6+ tap Settings > Bluetooth. Toggle Bluetooth off then back on then restart your iPhone then follow the instructions here > Get help connecting your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch with your car stereo - Apple Support

There are two difference scenarios. It should pair with your car, but you cannot pair an iPhone with a computer except for Internet tethering. See: Bluetooth: Why can't I pair my iPhone or iPad with another iOS device or with my computer?

I found out tonight that I had to add my iphone as a "new phone". Start from the beginning, add new phone, and enter code to pair. It worked for me and have been trying to figure this out for weeks.
